One Year Older And Wiser Too

Hola amigos y familia! I've now been here for over a week and it feels so weird. It feels like time is all over the place and that I've been here for like a month already. Our schedules are so packed and busy that it feels like we're MTC veterans already, it's pretty crazy. As always, classes are pretty boring and Spanish is something that will take forever for me to get but is still slowly coming along. I'll try and break down the highlights of the last week of what happened... Friday 6/21 Last week was pretty good. We did baptisms for the dead and initiatories. I love going to the temple, but it's a little unfortunate because our temple trips always fall on our P-day, so we have a little less time. Honestly, though, I can't complain too much because the temple is a lot more important and I'm happy to go every week. Since it was our first P-day, we didn't really know how to set up scheduled MTC activities, so we really just lounged around until we h...

Buenos días amigos! We're starting day 4 of the real MTC and it's something to get used to for sure. The rooms we're staying in are like half as big as the dorm room I stayed at for Snow, but with 6 of us instead of 2, it's very tight. The schedule is the exact same as home MTC but with scheduled times for meals. The food here isn't that great, but it's only going to get worse from here when I get to Peru, so maybe it's a good transition. Classes haven't been anything special; it's just review over preach my gospel lessons and some roleplays. Sometimes I feel like I'm too nice when giving feedback on the roleplays because whenever I'm given feedback, there's always a lot that they have to say. The classes are 3 hours too, so by the end of each of them, I'm fighting to stay awake, especially since I'm not used to the schedule. During the meal times, I've been finding a lot of people I know and that's been a lot of fun seein...

This was my first official week of being a missionary and being completely honest, it doesn't feel like that at all. Home MTC was a pretty mind-numbing experience, not that I didn't get a lot out of it, but it was just hard to keep my mind sharp after sitting at a computer for 10 hours a day for an entire week. I won't go into a lot of detail about how my classes went because they were all pretty similar. A typical home MTC day consists of waking up for personal study, a Zoom meeting for comp study, a language class, a workshop class, a three-hour district class with one teacher, and then a last three-hour district class with the other. After each class, you get about a one-hour break depending on the class you just had. The best part of the whole day is getting to know my district during each opportunity we have to talk with each other. It's kind of interesting because my entire district is going to Spain besides me and my companion, and he's going to Guatemala, so...
