Good Things Going

Monday

Well, we were gonna do normal Pday activities but our DL got the Hermanas mad at him so they didn't show up to volleyball and it ended up being pretty boring without them and their friends haha. Shoot. At least we always have El Olivar to make up for slow Pdays. After that it was just naps and family before ending Pday and having a little Family Home Evening with some inactives. Also hit 9 months this day. I could have had a baby in that amount of time! Wild stuff.

Tuesday

We had district counsel and decided to eat with the other Elders after. We got this really good Peruvian seafood which was bussin. The day started with Carlos and Joaquin who started 1 Nephi of the BOM! We're very excited for them and the testimonies they are growing. Later that night we tried knocking on a digital reference's door but ended up knocking on the wrong one and finding this 30-year-old bro named Pierre and he is so chill. His backyard is the nicest backyard I've seen in 9 months (most people don't have backyards). But it was filled with grass and laid-down rock. He claimed to be atheist but was more than willing to listen to us so we talked about how he has a loving Heavenly Father. We ended the night with Susan and just spent that time answering any more questions that she had about her baptism that Sunday, and though she was nervous, she gave us one of the most heartfelt testimonies I've heard from our friends which just proved how much faith she has. Awesome night.

Wednesday

Very bland day. We had a big useless mission meeting about this giant book we're studying that has all the references of Jesus in it from the Bible to the Pearl of Great Price. Ironically, as the mission was talking about it, I didn't listen but just spent the meeting time starting my study on it. It's actually a really awesome study though and has left me spiritually filled after my P-Studies. One day I'll grow my testimony on the meetings we have. Today is not that day.

Thursday

Exchanges with the ZL's. I got paired with Elder MamanĂ from Argentina. He's a cool guy so I was pretty hyped. The lessons we had went really well and it was fun to talk with him in between. We ended up having a lesson that was supposed to be about marriage and temples until bro randomly questioned why Joseph Smith had multiple wives. Elder MamanĂ turned to my direction implying that I was taking the wheel haha. It wasn't perfect but by the end, bro was satisfied with what I said and Elder MamanĂ was impressed so that made me feel pretty good about myself haha. All thanks to those missionary discussions we'd have in Priest's Quorum.

Friday

We were pretty low on our goals, especially having to miss a day during exchanges, so we were ready to go absolute dummy. Unfortunately, Satan kicked our butt because most lessons fell through. Shoot. At least we had a lesson with this digital reference that morning named Luis. He hasn't grown up in any religion so we went at a little slower pace which was actually an interesting but cool change. Also Pi Day. I think I forgot about 100 more, haha, so I'm down to knowing 150 digits from memory (I know that's exactly what you want to hear about in my mission email).

Saturday

We had Carlos and Joaquin again and talked about the Word of Wisdom, since that's why Carlos came to us in the first place, and they took it like champs! Later that day we had an inactive member named Barbara and her family. Her partner Luis had questions about the BOM (which I had no idea they were reading!) and it was a chill lesson. They're awesome. That night we had Pierre again. When we walked into his house he had Post Malone playing in the back which, if I weren't a missionary, would've been such a vibe. We had a really good lesson on what faith is and he took it so well. He was so shocked by the idea of missionaries and how we take 2 years to learn a language and preach about God in that. Yup, that's about what we do. We finished the night with Susan's interview and she passed with flying colors! Awesome night.

Sunday

We had really awesome people come to church today which was cool to see. After the Sunday meetings we had Susan's baptism, which the members came in clutch for, all coming prepared and ready to support her. It was such an awesome experience and Susan is such a sweet person, getting emotional during the whole thing. Even though she was pretty nervous about it, by the end she was so happy and it was an awesome day.

Spiritual Thought: As I mentioned, my P-studies have been focused on all the references the Topical Guide has of Christ and my studies have never been so powerful nor fulfilling up until now. I can honestly testify that dedicating time to focus and study about our Savior will always make our days so much better as we learn about Him and strengthen our relationship between each other.

Thanks for tuning in. As always, say your prayers and read your scriptures. Have a great week! Peace out.
