Monday

We kinda got jipped because everyone in their district made their own plans and left us alone. With nothing else to do but see the dirt hills, we went to El Olivar and took a lot of naps.

Tuesday

Today was the big debate about Victor's baptism. We've been teaching him for about three months and planned the baptism for this Saturday, with the invitations ready and everything. Well, since the ward boundaries are changing, we had to pass the baptism on to the other elders. We're very happy he was baptized, but very sad that we couldn't be there after teaching him all the lessons and preparing him. The important thing is that he made this covenant with God.

Wednesday

A very quiet day, but the end was worth it. Lately, one of the members has been taking her 14-year-old neighbor Irma to church, and she's already gone four times! Tonight we were able to visit her again and extend her baptism date, which she gladly accepted! Now all we have to do is work on her mom. We also visited Susan, which is always fun, but we had to cut the lesson short because some things were happening outside her neighbor's house, and she wanted to leave in case something strange happened. Kinda weird.

Thursday

Today we went out with a member named Fernando, and he's super chill. We visited with Joaquín, who's cool, so it was a great lesson. We're all about the same age, which makes talking with them fun. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful with just contacting, but it was still a great day.

Friday

Once again, I had an exchange with Elder Nelson four days before his mission ends. Wild stuff. Basically, he just gave me mission advice and spilled mission lore, which was fun to listen to. I feel like I go to his area so much that his friends are getting used to seeing me, haha. Anyway, it's always fun to see other areas.

Saturday

For lunch, Irma's mom invited us over, which was super nice. Her neighbor was also there and was pretty direct in saying that she didn't believe God would allow bad things to happen in our lives. We tried to hit 2 Nephi 2 with her, but she didn't listen. Oh well. Afterward, we had Joaquín again, and this time his mom, Paloma, was there too. We got a good lesson on the Restoration, and they were really accepting of it. Afterward, we tried contacting with some neighbors when suddenly the neighbor of the house we knocked recognized us. She explained that she overheard us give a lesson and extend a baptism date at a burger restaurant where we ate last week, and that she's interested in doing the same thing for herself and her family! Super crazy! You never know who's watching. Also, Victor was baptized today by the other elders; hope they treat him well.

Sunday

Church was great; this week we had an inactive member named Barbara and her two children with baptism dates come, which was great! That afternoon, we went to a baptism of a friend from the other elders, who we know very well from exchanges and church activities, so we were able to go see him! His name is Luis, and he's great. That evening, we also visited a Christian family from another church who invited us to their home. They were very kind and gave us cookies and soda. We were in a bit of a hurry, so we didn't want to stay much longer, but before we left, bro pulled a Jesus on us and shined our shoes! They were very kind. We ended the evening with Barbara, her partner, and their children. We asked them to draw the Plan of Salvation with us, and it turned out great! Everyone had a blast and we were able to understand it, so I considered it a success. They also gave us ice cream, which means this family has won me over.

Spiritual Thought: I invite you to follow the invitation in Ether 12:41, which says, "Seek this Jesus." I promise you that seeking Jesus in any circumstance will improve your life. Thanks for tuning in! Read the scriptures, pray, and until next time. Have a great week. Peace out!
