Primary Program

This week was pretty basic, and I forgot to write in my journal, so it'll probably be

Monday

Today we spent the morning playing soccer. I'm the absolute worst soccer player, but it was fun. I also got to get good at it because Elder Baldeon loves soccer, and I'm sure that's what we'll be doing for the next few P-days. Man, I got burned though. The weather is starting to warm up here, but because of the humidity, it's burning hot during the day but freezing cold at night. The rest of P-day was just eating lunch and talking with family.

Wednesday

When we were eating lunch at our Panchanista's place, it was just her son David who was there. He was just playing the electric guitar, and we were giving him song suggestions, so that was a lot of fun. After that, we got a member referral of this family whose husband is a member, but the wife isn't. We made our way to where they lived, and it no joke looked like the great and spacious building. The inside of it looked like a secret underground bunker you'd see in a movie. It was wild. The rest of the day was pretty normal. We talked to Crazy Carolina, who was telling us that a girl who goes to school next to where we were ran away and is now missing. Pretty spooky. Later that night, we ran into the seminary group in our ward, and they were all hanging up posters for her, so we walked with them for a bit.

Friday

Exchanges with the ZLs! This exchange I got paired with Elder Ryan Coleman. He's half Asian and super cool. I quickly learned that this transfer was his last, so we spent a lot of time talking about his plans when he leaves. Pretty wild to think that missionaries actually go home. 4 months in, it's not even real haha. We also talked a lot about old missionary drama that went down before I arrived. Apparently, I came into the mission in the post-purge area because there was a time when like 20 missionaries were sent home at once for doing something dumb. We had a lot of good lessons though. Every house I went into, the entire family was freaking out about how tall I was. It was super funny. Overall, the exchange was pretty great.

Sunday

We had the primary program in our ward this Sunday, and I don't think I've seen the chapel more filled than it was today. Unfortunately, it wasn't because we had a ton of our friends show up. We did have one show up with her kids though! Her name is Monica, and we had one of our members drive her and her family to church, so I hope the program was a good experience for her. When we were walking back, we got stopped by this fruity drunk dude talking to us about nothing. Let me tell you, all of his mannerisms were straight out of a cartoon because they were so exaggerated. Pretty wild. We also didn't have lunch at our usual member's house, so we left with boiled hotdogs and scrambled eggs to eat. It wasn't that great. After that, it was a normal day of work.

Sorry this one's short (or maybe you're welcome if you don't like reading). But thanks for tuning in, and we'll see you later!
